Environmental Protection Bureau (EPB) of Changhua County conducted this project for continuing operation and maintenance of Yangzaicuo River Basin Constructed Wetland and Jioujhuoshuei River Basin pollution reduction facility in order to keep their normal performance in wastewater treatment, improve water quality of bodies of receiving water, enhance the additional benefits on environmental education and landscape esthetics, raise a public awareness on water pollution control and water resource conservation, and provide a good water environment for people in Changhua county. Several tasks have been accomplished as follows: A. Taking samples monthly for water analysis from the two sites so as to evaluate the effectiveness of water treatment performance. B. Recording and photographing daily operation & maintenance works as well as public usage and visits, and forwarding the monthly report to the EPB. C. Implementing emergency response plan and removing the aeration system from river course to shore when flooding in the typhoon season. D. Harvesting wetland macrophytes, mowing on weed, replanting the macrophyte when needed. E. Removing and disposing the pre-settled sludge and estimating its formation amount. F. Holding propaganda concerning natural treatment system on September 17, 2010 (Yangzaicuo River Basin Constructed Wetland) with about 93 people attending. G. Preparing 400 propaganda materials and slogan, and insuring electronic equipments of Jioujhuoshuei River Basin pollution reduction system. H. Revising the operation and maintenance guidelines as well as the emergency response plan.
